Welcome to Green Acres Theme Song With complete lyrics!
The theme to an all-time American television classic, Green Acres. The theme song was actually made for the show, so it was not “outsourced.” There’s no evidence of any working title for it other than the “Green Acres Theme Song.”
The song was sung by the show’s lead, Eddie Albert, while his partner, Eva Gabor, recites most of her part. It was composed by Vic Mizzy, who also happens to have written another iconically popular television anthem, The Addams Family theme song.
Now we have the opening sequence theme with the ending 🙂

Below is the complete lyrics to the song.
Green Acres Theme Song Lyrics
Green acres is the place for me.
Farm livin’ is the life for me.
Land spreadin’ out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside.
New York is where I’d rather stay.
I get allergic smelling hay.
I just adore a penthouse view.
Dah-ling I love you but give me Park Avenue.
You are my wife.
Good bye, city life.
Green Acres we are there.
Men just look at this!! correct me if I’m wrong but I think he looks like Donald Tromp!!

About Green Acres
The lyrics pretty much explains the basic premise of the show but anyway, for the young ones out there, Green Acres is an American television series starring Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor as a couple who moved from New York City to a farm in the country. The show was a spin-off to Petticoat Junction. The series was originally broadcast on CBS from September 15, 1965 to April 27, 1971.
Green Acres is about Oliver Wendell Douglas, a prominent and wealthy New York City attorney, fulfilling his dream to be a farmer, and Lisa Douglas, his glamorous Hungarian wife, uprooted unwillingly from an upscale Manhattan penthouse apartment to a defunct farm in Hooterville that Oliver purchases to the disbelief of nearby farmers.
